Bio:
Matthew is an NRCPD-Registered Sign Language Interpreter and a qualified teacher with experience across diverse educational settings. His interpreting expertise spans education, workplace, community, conference and performance domains.
Matthew began learning British Sign Language during his time working in special education, and developed this further during his experiences working in schools for deaf children. He is a registered member of ASLI (Association of Sign Language Interpreters), VLP (Visual Language Professionals), and EFSLI (European Forum of Sign Language Interpreters). He has been working as a freelance BSL interpreter since 2022 and is a graduate from BSL First’s Diploma in Sign Language Interpreting programme.
