Interpreting courses
What if I have to miss a class?
100% attendance is expected for all interpreting courses.
If you are ill or you have other commitments and can’t attend class, please contact your teacher as soon as practicably possible. You will be given your teacher’s email address at the start of the course and you can also find your teacher’s contact details on the Our Team page. There is no need to notify the main office of absences or lateness.
If you miss a class, you will need to catch up in your own time, as classes will not be repeated or recorded, and no additional tutorials will be provided to make up for missed classes. Interpreting students will be organised into peer groups, which is the main mechanism of support. You can rely on your peer group to help you catch up on missed classes, as well as review the handouts and resources on Moodle.
