Who is the awarding body for interpreting courses?
What do I need to apply for an interpreting course?
You can see the specific entry requirements for your course on the course page:
- Diploma in Sign Language Interpreting (In Person)
- Diploma in Sign Language Interpreting (Online)
- Diploma in Sign Language Translation (In Person)
- Interpreter Development Programme for Heritage Signers
For all interpreting courses, you must have completed the Level 6 BSL qualification. You cannot become an interpreter if you are not already fluent in BSL.
